Whoa! Unexpected migration to WordPress!

After looking at all those blogs with fancy tag clouds, categories and stuff I’ve decided to move to WordPress It looks nice, has nifty themes and is quite simple and straight when it comes to blogging.

And yes, I migrated from Joomla!. Reason?
Basically I believe that there’s no ultimate tool for every task you might want to do, Joomla! is fantastic when it comes to content management but WordPress is much better when it’s about blogging. Why’s that? Because Joomla!’s not trying to be blog app (thank god!) and WordPress is the best when it’s about blogging. Why not blogger? Huh, Google *is* scary, that’s why ;)

I hope that moving to WordPress will allow me to focus a bit on other things. I wonder how crawlers will handle my site btw, I love my PR6 and site being indexed quite nice. We’ll see anyway.

Pandora’s dead

I used to listen to it a *lot*. Really a LOT. Now because of some silly things I can’t do it anymore. It’s about money I guess. Again and again. Damn it.

We are deeply, deeply sorry to say that due to licensing constraints, we can no longer allow access to Pandora for most listeners located outside of the U.S. We will continue to work diligently to realize the vision of a truly global Pandora, but for the time being we are required to restrict its use. We are very sad to have to do this, but there is no other alternative. Check it on your own www.pandora.com. And if you don’t know what’s Pandora there’s always wikipedia.

Open Pandora, at last it found me :)

Cool desktop application, no need of running browser anymore. Just start and listen to your stations. It seems that it’s just a browser window inside .NET application. Quite nice but could have use less then 84 MB of RAM. Huh, nothing is perfect.

While I enjoy listening my radio with it I wonder if it’s legal and what will galls and guys from pandora project do when amount of money from website ads will go down.

Anyway, here’s link to Open Pandora and famous Pandora itself.

pandora!

A friend popped me a info about some awesome stuff – www.pandora.com.
It’s some sort of really cool net radio, which you’ve got to learn what sort of songs do you like to hear. You can put your fav artists/songs in and after that pandora tries to play similar ones that you’ve entered.
After that you can give a feedback if you like particular song or not, and pandora will change your ‘music profile’ on each feedback given. Really awesome! There should appear list of my fav songs in the panel on the right, it seems broken now but who knows? :P
Till next time.
